Give us a short description of your music: High key alternative pop influenced by indie-rock, punk and electronic music.

Which acts are on your must-see list at BIGSOUND? Some big ones for us would have to be Two People, Kwame, G Flip and No Mono.

In your career to date, what have been the key watershed moments? Beyond The Valley last year was a crazy experience for us. Getting to work with Oscar Dawson (lovely man and producer extraordinaire) was a really great moment for us too.

If you could give your younger self, starting out as a musician, a few words of wisdom, what would they be? Be yourself and don't be afraid to express what's in your heart. Also, learn trumpet - I really wish older me could play trumpet.

Why should people come and see you among the many amazing bands at BIGSOUND? I feel like maybe what we do has been missing in a lot of people's playlists, and that we bring something with a different energy and purpose to a live show. We definitely can't wait for these shows.

What industry lessons would you like to take away from the BIGSOUND conference? To learn about other people's experiences and perspectives in the music community is a great thing. If I can learn anything that contributes to making me a better artist/person in this industry along the way, even better!

What do you identify as the most pressing issue impacting the Australian music industry at present? The glaring gender inequality and issues in the live sphere definitely need and warrant the attention they are getting and more.

What music trends do you think are dominating right now, and do you have any predictions for the coming year? I think we're in a cool moment of experimentation and genre realignment, as well as an emphasis on unique voices. You can't really predict what's next but I hope we're heading to a return to more emotional and sincere sounds/themes in pop.

When and where is your BIGSOUND showcase? 4 Sep, Heya Bar, 8.20pm; 6 Sep, The Flying Cock, 9pm.
