The Sydney rockers hit the road next week!

More Rosa Maria More Rosa Maria

“We write the songs for people to dance to,” Rosa Maria frontman Broc Townsend said of the band’s second album, Here She Comes.

The Sydney garage rock’n’roll outfit’s new LP is rich with hip-shaking boogies, surf-swamp overtones and all-out ‘60s revival garage bangers, but does touch on deeper topics throughout, as evident via its title track.

“It’s all about La Calavera Catrina, the symbol for the Day of The Dead,” Townsend said.

“She comes from the dead to tell me to not fear death, but to celebrate death.”

It’s a change of pace from their debut album, Let It Be Known, which might have something to do with its production; Rosa Maria taking their time in piecing it together and collaborating with Straight Arrows’ Owen Penglis on the release.

The album is out this Friday before the band embark on a national headline tour next week.
