Album title? Order Of The Owl

Where did the title of your new album come from? The album is a semi-concept album. The songs are all tied together in theme and feeling. Order Of The Owl is a concept of a group/tribe of people trying to survive.

How many releases do you have now? The first release was three years ago in 2012… Seems like ages ago now. It's called Red Flags.

How long did it take to write/record? Order Of The Owl has been a two-year project from start to finish. We wrote some of the tracks at the end of 2013 and during the pre-production and recording in the studio.

Was anything in particular inspiring you during the making? We were inspired by the bands we were listening to at the time, ie. Mastodon, The Sword and then when Alice In Chains toured out here again.

What's your favourite song on it? The Rivers Will Return. I get to play some really cool drum fills on The Rivers Will Return.

Will you do anything differently next time? Ash has already started writing the next album. I haven't heard any of it just yet. I would say we will record the same way, but not take as long.

When and where is your launch/next gig? Barwon Club, Geelong, 26 Sep; The Workers Club, 17 Oct; Elephant & Wheelbarrow, 30 Oct.

NSW: Phoenix Bar, Canberra, 1 Oct; Venom, Agincourt Hotel, 3 Oct.
