We have a quick chat with Keyim Ba's Sibo Bangoura ahead of the West Africa influenced band's performance at World Music Wednesdays tonight.

What the best venue – anywhere in the world – you've played? Loved playing at the Sydney Opera House.

Is there one country you particularly love performing in? Always love performing on Japanese stages.

What part of the world has had the most influence on you, musically? West Africa.

Where have you experienced music really impacting and influencing a culture? In West Africa music and life is on the streets.

When it comes to your band – is more always better? Generally the more rehearsals, the more opportunities, the more creativity.... the better!

What's one instrument you wish you could master? Guitar. I play the Kora which is the an African Harp but I would love to master guitar.

Do you have any pre-gig rituals? No not really. I take every gig as it comes.

What's your favourite food dish? Definitely a spicy Fish Curry!

Can you recommend us a drink at the bar? A simple rum and coke.
