Perth's favourite hardcore bois Ratking have dropped a new ripper tune called Down The Line, it's out tomorrow and their launch show is going on sale tomorrow too! The lads say of the song: "In a day and age where everyone only puts their greatest achievements and their latest holidays online, it’s hard to watch - it is so easy to feel like you’ve fallen behind. Not getting to that social/monetary position you placed on a pedestal is a hard pill to swallow." Hell yeah, that sucks.
The Ratking lads initially had an idea for this video that involved putting themselves in incredibly anxiety-inducing situations, but realised that it would be way too hectic for their mental health - so decided to go with the safety of a green screen instead! I'd say that's a great idea. Suffering for one's art is one thing. Wilfully burying one's self alive with a camera - HELL NAH.
Ratking are releasing their new EP 'Nervous Nature' on Friday June 17 - and they dropped an absolute ripper of a track in 'Panic Station' last month, so we had to catch up with AJ from the band about it. Alex Callan jumped on Zoom to get the lowdown.
No, it's NOT the C-Tier Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles villain - it's the EXCELLENT Perth punk/hardcore outfit RATKING! We are premiering their brand new single 'Panic Station' - and they are announcing their EP Nervous Nature!
