Promoter Matt Leost has launched a brand new emo night in Sydney called Panic! At The Metro - a night for all those punters crying out for the club nights of old to return, the chance to see bands and dance the night away to all the classic 2006/2007 core emo classics and and also spot all the band members also hanging out. We chatted with Matt about just how influential and important those club nights were and how he hopes to return that to their former glory.
Panic! At The Metro is Sydney's newest emo party - it's all taking place on May 6th, in a multi-space venue, with bands, DJs and party vibes all round. Promoter Matt Leost is throwing the party in what is a throwback to the BANG!'s and THRILLER's of old - a chance to see artists play, but also hanging out with punters as well. The all emo/punk/alt lineup is a total banger - and we want more!
Oh, how far Hellions have come!
Matt Gravolin of Hellions gives us the lowdown on Opera Oblivia.
Life affirming, positive, and bloody catchy.
We had a quick chat with Hellions drummer Anthony Caruso about what has arguably been the band’s best year.
The boys are back!
So just before Hellions show every other punk/hardcore band out there how it is really done, we had a quick chat with the bands vocalist, Dre Faivre.
Eclectic hardcore/metal from some of Australia's finest
Formed from the ashes of Sydney band, The Bride, Hellions take everything they had in previous bands and give it a new context. Having already toured relentlessly in the short amount of time since their formation, the group have just released debut album, 'Die Young' to a positive reception. Drummer Anthony Caruso took some time to chat to us about the release and touring with the 'hardest partying' metalcore band around.
