Australian emo rockers Trophy Eyes are coming home this August, announcing their largest-ever national tour with special guests Boston Manor (UK) and Adelaide’s Towns.

The tour comes after a whirlwind year for Trophy Eyes: last June, they returned with their first album in five years, Suicide & Sunshine, after releasing five ripper singles: Blue Eyed Boy, What Hurts The Most, Kill, Life In Slow Motion, and People Like You.

Trophy Eyes’ fourth album is dubbed to be about contrast - not just in the title. The album title comes from the track Sean, about vocalist John Floreani discovering his mate’s passing on a sunny day before getting into an Uber to a gathering of Sean’s friends.

Floreani explained, “It’s the tragedy and the beauty of life. When we did Chemical Miracle, our second full-length, the logo for the album was a palm tree and a noose. That’s literally suicide and sunshine. It’s always been there on my mind. And I think I finally just phonetically set it out. That encompasses everything I’ve been trying to do my entire career.”

The band toured across Australia twice last year (a metro and regional tour) in support of Suicide & Sunshine, and they’re currently enjoying a sold-out European tour ahead of a US headline tour. The upcoming Australian tour isn’t only a celebration of Trophy Eyes’ epic album and year on the road but will also be their largest and only headline tour at home in 2024.

The tour begins at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Friday, 23 August, before Trophy Eyes and friends head to Sydney’s Roundhouse on Saturday, 24 August, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Friday, 30 August, and wraps up at Melbourne’s Forum on Saturday, 31 August.
