R&B icons TLC have cancelled their upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand, citing “unforeseen circumstances”.

The US girl group, which now consists of Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas – were set to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 1994’s CrazySexyCool. They were set to be joined by special guests, rapper Busta Rhymes and vocal girl group En Vogue.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our upcoming tour of Australia/New Zealand with Busta Rhymes & En Vogue will no longer be proceeding.

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, TLC’s upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand, with Busta Rhymes and En Vogue, will no longer be proceeding,” said the announcement on TLC’s Facebook account.

“To our incredible Australian and New Zealand fans, with heavy hearts, we regret to announce the cancellation of our upcoming tour. Unforeseen circumstances have made it impossible to proceed, and we sincerely apologise for any disappointment.

They continued, “Your support means everything, and we promise to make it up to you.”

The No Scrubs hitmakers were set to kick off their tour in New Zealand at Trusts Arena in Auckland on 29 February, followed by Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 2 March, the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on 3 March, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on 5 March, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 7 March, and concludes at Perth’s RAC Arena on 9 March.

CrazySexyCool was led by the #1 hit singles Waterfalls and Creep. In the US, the album received a Diamond certification, while in Australia, TLC reached the Top 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart and remained in the Top 100 for a remarkable 76 weeks. In Australia, CrazySexyCool was certified Double Platinum.

According to the announcement, ticket holders will receive a full refund. The original payment method used for the purchase will be automatically refunded, and there is no need for ticket holders to take any further action.
