Hand Of Mercy's Josh Campiao has jumped ship to a band they've toured with

More Hellions More Hellions

Sydney moshcore band Hand Of Mercy have announced one of their guitarists, Josh Campiao, has departed from the band and will be joining their fellow Sydney hardcore dudes in Hellions.

In a Facebook post, Hand Of Mercy said, "Hey guys just dropping a quick line to inform everyone that Josh has made the decision to leave Hand of Mercy to play for Hellions. If you have seen us at home or abroad in the last 3 months you would have noticed his absence, but also noted it hasn't slowed us down."

The post offers a statement from Campiao, who says, "I'm not one for long winded good byes so I'll keep it short and sweet. It has come time for me to leave Hand Of Mercy, it wasn't a decision I took lightly and I owe a lot to Adam M, Adam V, Josh Z, Dawson, CJ, Scott and Nick and love them all like family.

"Thanks to everyone that ever came to a show, bought merch, bought or downloaded a record or helped us out in any way."

Hand Of Mercy have toured extensively with Hellions in the past — they headed out together supporting In Hearts Wake in 2013 and Hellions also supported Hand Of Mercy in late 2014 on the Resolve tour. The news comes just over a year on from the band parting ways with their vocalist, Scott Bird, who was replaced soon after by Nick Bellringer.

Hellions will be heading out on a European tour soon with Northlane.
