Brisbane's The Gifthorse To Play Final-ever Show Honouring Late Frontman

Brisbane punk outfit The Gifthorse will play one final show together to raise funds for depression awareness following the passing of frontman Shane Collins earlier in the year.

The group posted on Facebook yesterday announcing the Melbourne tribute show will also feature Luca Brasi, A Death In The Family, Like...Alaska, Pagan, Lincoln Le Fevre & The Insiders, The Cutaways and more.

"Saying goodbye is a hard thing to do. Sadly for the Gifthorse our time is up. We have to say goodbye now," the band said.

"We made a decision a few weeks ago to do it on our terms. With our songs, some beer and some friends. So to Shane Collins, our dear brother. We raise a beer to you mate. This is for you."

The gig will also mark the first time that punk rockers A Death In The Family have played live together since their disbandment in 2012.

Collins passed away in February this year; funds from the June show will go towards charities that raise awareness for and fight depression.
