According to reports, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich is in slight legal woe, with a former personal assistant suing the musician over alleged unpaid overtime.

According to reports, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich is in slight legal woe, with a former personal assistant suing the musician over alleged unpaid overtime.


The Marin Independent Journal broke the story recently, claiming former assistant Steven Wiig, 38, filed a lawsuit against Ulrich and is subsequently "seeking unspecified damages for alleged state and federal labor violations, breach of oral contract and continuing wages."

The Sausalito based former assistant worked for the Metallica skinsman between 2001 to 2009, in that time working between 70 to 80 hours a week.


"Wiig said he did not receive bonuses in 2006 and 2008, and when he left the job in February 2009, he was not paid for the accumulated overtime he was owed," the Marin Independent writes.
