After a busy 2008 touring nationally with the likes of Parkway Drive, Have Heart (USA), Carpathian and Ruiner (USA), Perth’s Break Even are heading back out on the road for their first headlining tour in almost 2 years. The A Long Drive Home Tour sees Break Even play 12 shows in a little over 2 weeks across Perth and up and down the East Coast.

This tour will give Break Even the opportunity to showcase new songs from their upcoming debut full length album, set for release in mid 2009 through Resist Records. The album will serve as a follow up to their split CD release with Perth band Something More, released early last year. Break Even experienced a tragedy last November with the untimely death of their guitarist Rowan Willoughby. Before his passing, Rowan recorded a collection of songs for an upcoming solo project, entitled ‘Cloudstreet’.

Proceeds raised from the A Long Drive Home Tour will be put towards funding the national release of an album featuring these solo recordings, previously unreleased to the public. Armed with a worthy cause and an appetite for the road, Break Even are set to blow crowds away on this tour with their unique brand of energetic punk/hardcore.
