Australian bands heading to SXSW

48 Aussie bands have been granted an invite to the massive music festival South By Southwest in Texas next March, 2009.

Over 10,000 bands applied worldwide, and only 1800 get an invite. More than 100 slots are still to be filled.

Some Australian bands confirmed include Dappled Cities, Blue King Brown, Youth Group, The Boat People, The Fumes, An Horse, Birds of Tokyo, The Drones, Kid Confucius, Infusion, Red Riders, Josh Pyke, Angus and Julia Stone, The Temper Trap, My Disco and The Grates.
