Thy Art Is Murder Announce Massive Australian Tour For August

All with some help from Alpha Wolf, Cursed Earth, & Deadlights!

After supporting the always might Meshuggah in March, Thy Art Is Murder are back in full headlining tour mode now. Since recently announcing a massive European stint with Oceano, After The Burial and Justice For The Damned, the Sydney deathcore crew are giving a similar grace to those at home with today’s announcement of the ‘Death Sentence’ tour, taking place this August around Australia.

Supporting CJ and co. will be two of Greyscale Records’ recent signees, Melbourne mosh purveyors Alpha Wolf (who should be about ready for an album announcement me thinks) and Brisbane up and comers Deadlights;  the least heavy band on the bill by far, but that’s no bad thing!

Also joining this heavy tour package is Perth’s Cursed Earth, who are just fucking killing it lately! The WA quintet put on a phenomenal set at last year’s Invasion Fest and held their ground well when supporting Fallujah and Killswitch Engage in March. On top of that, the band will be teaming up with fellow Perth outfit Statues for a headline run this June and July. (You can find more info on that tour here). Hopefully, new material is on its way soon.

But back on track now, grab your tickets for this upcoming monstrous August tour here and suss the full dates below.

    Nah not at all.

It just wasn’t very good tbh

Then I read that the guitarist had basically said it was just slapped together because they knew the kids would eat it up regardless….

I’m sensing more effort this time round

Yeah, me too. I think CJ’s absence has kinda kicked their asses into gear so to speak, even if it still just sounds like Thy Art. I fucking loved Holy War overall though. Hate was great too.

Don’t really care for the EP or The Adversary though.

Maybe I should give Holy War another go, I only gave it a couple of shots tbh

It just didn’t grab me at all aye…maybe it could surprise me

It’s a pretty solid deathcore EP instrumentally and in its technicality. But fuck, those lyrics are just awful.

I can’t actually believe they’ve progressed to what they have with the fucking awful lyrics of the EP. They did put on a good show regardless back then. They wouldnt be anywhere near what they are with the old vocalist. Vegas in Ruins were sick too. Fuck there were so many good bands back in the day around Sydney
