"Yeah...We better turn the bass up on this one"

On this dreary Tuesday morning, Killyourstereo.com is happy to present you with the music video for 'My Name', the banging single from Melbourne's Ezekiel Ox.

Seriously, shit's good!

This new single from the now solo Ox is off his upcoming debut EP, 'Proper Ganda' (get it?) which will be dropping hot sometime later this year. We'll keep you updated on when that will be exactly because you'll most certainly want that release in your life.

Now, if the name sounds familiar, it's because Ox was the frontman for Australian rockers, Mammal. Now while he's gone solo, Ox isn't a one man army, though I'm sure he very well could be. Sitting behind the drums for his upcoming November tour (dates coming soon) is co-producer, Steven Smith. Also, up on stage will be bassist, Sarox Martin, and residential riff lord, Drew Goddard. A few clicks on the ol' Google machine will easily reveal who those members are but I'm keeping my lips sealed to appease the A&R gods.

As for the song itself, the funky guitars and groovy bass lines and drums of the song are an infectious combo, and Ox's sharp vocals and lyrics suit the music so damn well. Actually, I'd go so far as to call him and his band an Aussie Rage Against The Machine. Just maybe with a little more humour and "Aussiness" (totally a word that I didn't just make up right then) to their sound. It's like Prophets Of Rage except, you know, with actually good music to back it all up.

Anyway! Check out the video for the bouncy track below and you can pick the song up at Ox's Bandcamp Page if you so wish. The track also features both live footage and footage of Melbourne's anti-racism street team to boot, so keep your eyes glued on this one.
