Deafheaven have announced they will release their third studio album early next year but have not given any other details besides the fact that label Deathwish will not release the record.

Deafheaven have announced they will release their third studio album in 2015.

The band has been writing this week.

It was initially reported Deafheaven would leave Deathwish Inc. for the upcoming album. However, in a series of tweets, frontman George Clarke clarified:

"This quote about releasing our next record that showed up on lambgoat is from an interview I did in Sweden that was not part of the interview at all and was said not only off the record but in a very 'what if' context and totally small and forgettable. I told the writer to change that when it was initially put out and he didn't. Instead it was peddled as an 'inside scoop' thing which is totally lame.

I've always loved Deathwish and they have always done us right and that quote makes me seem like I'm devaluing them which is absolutely not the case. NOTHING has even been discussed about a new record. I just tweeted that today because we were talking about writing yesterday and I got amped."

Deafheaven released brilliant studio album 'Sunbather' in 2013.
