In a novel way of coinciding with MLB’s upcoming World Series – which begins tomorrow – two San Francisco based radio stations have shown their support of their hometown Giants by temporarily banning Lorde hit ‘Royals’ from their airwaves.

The Giants attempt to claim their third World Series title in five years when they face the Kansas City Royals in a best-of-seven series this October.

Consequently, KFOG Radio and 96.5 KOIT have pulled ‘Royals’ from their playlist rotation for the duration of the fall classic.

However, Kansas City radio station 99.7 has promptly responded by committing to play the song on their station every hour from 7am to 7pm.
